He relocated to Albuquerque in 2002 to be close to his daughter and her family. Anthony spent his entire life in retail work starting when he was 16 years old at Safeway in Las Vegas. And in his later years, he did lots of volunteer work. But mostly he will be remembered for his generosity and kindness to all. He took selfless care of his mother for several years until her passing in 2000. He enjoyed his home and always kept it clean and homey for himself and a steady stream of family and friends who visited. He was "Grandpa Duck" to his grandchildren and to all their friends all of whom have had dinner at his home. He loved to cook and to eat with family and friends. A celebration of Anthony's life will take place Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Lodge at 1101 Indian School Rd NE, 87102. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Ryan White Foundation online at rsfhfoundation.org or St. Jude's at StJude.org in Anthony's name. The family would like to offer thanks to the Gentiva and the ICU Staff at Lovelace Hospital, his very special case manager Kelly Lister with NMAS and especially to Dr. Ryan Tyner whose kindness Anthony's family will forever hold dear to their hearts.
