LUCERO, PATRICIO Patricio Lucero, life-long resident of Milagro, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 surrounded by his family. A long time rancher in Milagro and a veteran of the US Army, Mr. Lucero is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Todocia Lucero; six children, Carolina Lucero and husband Antonio Sanchez of Seattle, WA, Pat Lucero Jr. and wife Teresa Lucero of Tucumcari, NM, Precilla Benton of Phoenix, AZ, Debra Salazar and husband Robert Salazar of Albuquerque, NM, Doris Garcia and husband Jake Garcia of Rio Rancho, NM and Eddy Lucero of Albuquerque, NM. He is also blessed with 10 grandchildren, Crystal Salazar, John Anthony Benton, Robert Salazar, Randy Benton, Marisol Sanchez y Lucero, Marissa Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Andrea Garcia, Ashley Lucero and Eddy Lucero; and five great-grandchildren, Fernando Salazar, Jonathan, Joshua, Randy and Matthew Benton. There will be a viewing, Saturday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 21 from 1:00 - 5:00 at Chavez Funeral Home, Santa Rosa. Rosary services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21st at 6:00 PM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Santa Rosa, NM. Refreshments served immediately after the rosary at Blue Hole Center in Santa Rosa. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Sept. 22nd at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Santa Rosa with Father Thomas Kayammakal officiating. A reception will be held immediately following mass at Blue Hole Center in Santa Rosa with burial to be held Monday, Sept. 22nd at 3:00 PM at Nuestra Senora de Los Dolores Church in Milagro, NM. Serving as Pallbearers will be John Anthony Benton, Robert Salazar, Randy Benton, Dominic Garcia, Fernando Salazar, Eddy Lucero, Rudy Marquez, Joshua Benton and Johnathan Benton.
