VIGIL, ELSIE was born June 19, 1924 in Sabinal, New Mexico. She passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 in Albuquerque at the age of 90. Elsie was a longtime active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic. She will be greatly missed. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Vigil and she is survived by her three beloved children, Sally Vigil, Dora Gallegos and Sandra Martinez; eight grandchildren; and eighteen great- grandchildren; as well as other family members and friends who loved her dearly. Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW. on Friday, September 12, 2014. A viewing will begin at 9:15 am. The Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will then take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be Talise Martinez, R.J. Martinez, Tommy Tapia, Michael Leyba, Anthony Leyba and David Leyba. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. ABQ. 505-343-8008.
