WELCH, BOBBIE LEO Age 85, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014. He was born in Jerico Springs, Missouri, on February 5, 1929, to John and Ella Marie (Runyan) Welch. He served in the army during the Korean War, he was a corporal in combat engineering for five years. He then married his loving wife Darlene Olsen (Welch) on April 3, 1958 in Albuquerque, NM, they were married for fifty-six years. Bobbie worked at ACF Industries for nine years and eleven months and then retired from Sandia National Labs after twenty-five years of service. He enjoyed working on cars and was the best handyman ever. He enjoyed roller skating, and outdoor activities such as boating, camping and fishing. He was always very supporting of his daughters and granddaughters activities. Bobbie recently enjoyed his great grandson's activities. Bobbie was a member of Hoffmantown Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Alma Louise Welch, Barbara June Welch, Thomas Welch, and Donald Lee Welch. Bobbie is survived by wife, Darlene Welch; daughters, Roxy Welch and Sheri Dusseau, all of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Maxine Panther, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Shannon and Mike Schum and Ashley Dusseau; great- grandchildren, Aiden and Carsen Schum; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 6-8pm at Daniels Family Funeral Home, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 1:00pm followed by a reception at Daniels Family Funeral Home Sun Room. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107 at 3:30pm.
