PADILLA, ERNESTO SR. Age 63, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014. He was born to the late Santos Padilla, Sr. and Carmen M. Padilla, on June 24, 1951 in El Paso, TX. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Victor Padilla and Luis Padilla. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Terry Padilla; daughter, Veronica Ann Padilla; son, Ernesto Padilla, Jr.; grandchildren, Robert Doyle Jr., Ernesto V. Padilla, Derek Doyle, and Marisa Padilla. He is also survived by his sister, Yolanda Padilla; brother, Santos Padilla, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. Ernie graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with Degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology. He specialized in Federal and State Government careers and served as a Federal Investigator and a Labor Law Judge. As part of his civil service he also served as a Union President advocating for the rights of others. He was an advisor and mentor to anyone in need. He liked to introduce new ideas and different points of view. Time spent with his family was priceless to him. He always made time for family and friends. He was always looking for an adventure. In his spare time he enjoyed playing and watching golf, singing and dancing, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and making a home cooked meal. He always knew how to make you laugh by making a funny face or telling a funny joke. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service, which will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
