 MASSARO, ELIZABETH G. Age 88, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born March 29, 1926 to Frederick and Elizabeth LaZar in Brooklyn, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack Massaro; son, John Scott. She is survived by her five daughters; Jacque Boothe (Mike), and Betty Vargas (Henry) of Rio Rancho, Pat Sigler, and Bonnie Micciche (John) of Long Island, NY, Peggy Spaulding (Claude) of Vermont; sister, Anne LaZar of Rio Rancho; 11 grandchildren Beth, Eric, Christopher, Tara, Jason, Lindsay, Keith, Emily, Jake, Mark and Vanessa; six great-grandchildren, Marlei, Madison, Finnley, Abigail, Tristan and Dane; along with extended family members. She grew up in NYC, became a fashion model then a full time mother to six children in Massapequa, NY. Later retired to Rio Rancho, NM in 1974. She was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Altar and Rosary Society. Her children and grandchildren were the focus of her life. Funeral Services were held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho, NM. Her remains will be buried in NY alongside her husband and son.
