LEWIS, ALBERT EARL Age 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Adell; three grandchildren, Katelyn Fitzgerald and husband, Rick, Matthew Lewis, and Alison Nutt; daughter-in-law, Lou Nutt and husband, Ron; sisters, Minnie Anderson and Mary Bassett and husband, Carroll; brothers, Jim Lewis and wife, Sarah, Charles Lewis and wife, Mary Lou, Huey Lewis, Murray Lewis and wife, Karen; and many other relatives and friends. Albert was preceded in death by his son, Richard E. Lewis; parents, Moses and Ava Lewis; three brothers, William Lewis, Ross Lewis, Rolf Lewis; and one sister, Onealure Carroll. He was born in 1927 in Biloxi, MS and entered the United States Army, serving honorably during WWII. After his discharge he moved to Albuquerque where he married Adell Geddie in 1953. He worked for Public Service of New Mexico for over 39 years until his retirement. Albert loved to garden and fish. He was a devoted and loving husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
