 HATHAWAY, MARIAN M. 1931 - 2014 Marian M. Hathaway, age 82, born in St. Paul, Minnesota and a resident of Belen, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014. She graduated from Kingman High School in Kingman, Arizona in 1950. After High School she moved back to Minnesota and raised her family. In the early 1950's Marian started in the computer field working in data processing until moving to Belen in 1977. She opened a bookstore and operated it for four years. Marian then returned to data processing working for the Department of Energy in Gallup as a consultant. Later she worked for the First National Bank of Belen as a data processing supervisor. Marian loved reading, crossword puzzles and going to the casino. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.W. and Dorothy Varnum Haeusler. Marian is survived by her sons, James and companion, Mary Ellen Chavez of New Mexico, Verlyn and wife, Ginger of Minnesota and Joe Wayne of New Mexico; and three grandchildren. A Visitation will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 10th at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Boyd Morerod officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their gratitude to Ambercare Hospice especially Ann and Rachel.
