TORRES, FRANK A. 1943 - 2014 Frank A. Torres, age 71, a resident of Los Chavez, NM passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. For over 30 years, Frank was a car man for the Santa Fe Railroad as well as a welder and carpenter. He loved to be outdoors, to hunt and fish. Frank has a deep love for his tractors as well as his family and friends. He loved to tell jokes and stories, but his best and most beloved stories were the funny ones, and he had plenty for any situation. Frank enjoyed farming and roping. He was always there to help someone in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Stella Lucero Torres; sons, Daniel and Ivan; grandson, Jared; brother-in-law, Daniel Mendoza; father and mother-in-law, Prudencio and Lucinda Hurbina. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Rosie Hurbina Torres; son, Mark; daughter, Francine Cordingley and husband, Casey; grandchildren, Jason and Layliah Torres, Mark and Heather Torres, Paul Torres, David Sanchez, Tristin Cordingley, Justin Torres and Steven Baca Torres; great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Rory, Charli, Ben and Alex Torres; sisters, Magdalena Mendoza and Henrietta Torres; and brothers, Joe, Paul and Richard Torres. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Monday, May 12th beginning with a Viewing at 8:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Stephen Schultz presiding. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Casey Cordingley, David Sanchez, Jason Torres, Tom Kurkowski, Felix Baca and Jerry Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Torres, Mark Torres and Willie Chavez. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers support and love in our time of sorrow.
