 ALLEN, IRIS S. Age 90, went to her happy hunting ground on Friday, May 9, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. Allen and two daughters, Sandra and Cynthia. She is survived by her two sons, Ronald and wife, Lynne, and Scott and wife, Kathy; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Allen was the Southwest Regional President of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in the 1980's and was a life member of the Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and worked with Girls State. She enjoyed her hobbies of sewing, liquid embroidery, and was an avid rock hound. Iris enjoyed being a military wife and traveling the world while raising her four children. Memorial services will be Thursday, May 15, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas Chapel. Interment of her cremated remains will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
