 HERRERA, HENRY A. Age 82, of Albuquerque, died Sunday, April 13, 2014. Henry was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Eva Herrera. He is survived by his four children, five grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. He served in the Air Force for 22 years and was awarded the Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross for meritorious service in Viet Nam before retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He then spent 30 years at New York Life Insurance where he was inducted as a Hall of Fame Senior sales executive. He was a good man who led a full life and while we grieve for our loss, we find comfort in the knowledge that in heaven, "he has slipped the surly bonds of earth, to dance the skies on laughter-silvered wings." Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at Risen Savior Parish 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
