HARRINGTON, KENNETH J. Kenneth J. Harrington of Ramah, NM, passed away on Thursday, February 27th at his family home in Ramah, New Mexico, with family and friends by his side. Kenneth was born on October 2, 1919 in Arkansas City, Kansas. He moved to live in New Mexico when he was 2 years old and spent his entire life living in New Mexico except for a short time in New Jersey in the mid-70's. Kenneth was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His wife Rosemary passed in 2002, they were married 48+ years. Kenneth leaves behind three children (Tim Harrington, Mark Harrington, and Becky Harrington-Arunyon); five grandchildren (Matthew Curry, Zachary Curry, Kaitlin Curry, Jenna Arunyon, and Jack Harrington); and two great-grandchildren (Jase Curry and Brandon Curry). Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during WWII and continued serving his country by working for Sandia National Laboratories for 37+ years. After retiring from Sandia Labs he and Rosemary moved to Ramah, NM and fully restored an old stone house and creating the Ashcroft-Merrill Historical District in Ramah, NM. Kenneth's life was celebrated on March 15, 2014 at the Church of Ladder Day Saints in Ramah, NM, and he was laid to rest at the U.S. Military Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM on Monday, March 17, 2014 (St Patrick's Day). Kenneth was a man who made everyone he met feel good, he had a firm handshake and a wonderful smile. Kenneth J. Harrington, you had an amazing life...we will miss you and never forget you.
