VIETS, DON E. Age 67, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, March 2, 2014. He is survived by his husband, Kevin Blackerby; and son, Joshua Viets and his husband, Tyler Anderson. Don was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, volunteering his time and love in the Adopted Families Program, and as a Stephen Minister. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Don spent his career in the Veteran's Administration, helping other vets. Even after retirement he remained active in serving veterans of the Iraq War and their families. Services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014, 1:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Rd. NE. Friends may visit beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the church.
