BROWN, RICHARD EDWARD 87 of Tucumcari, NM passed away February 27, 2014. Richard was born in Wood River IL on February 4, 1927 to Roy and Ethel May Brown. He and had six brothers and sisters: John, Eileen, Roy, William, James, and Jack. He was preceded in his death by his wife of 49 years, Helen Brown. Richard is survived by his children Jerry, Michael, Linda and Candice; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Richard (Dick) Brown was a long time resident of Tucumcari, NM and owned Dick's Auto Service until his retirement in 1995. Richard was one of the first instructors at Mesalands Community College in Tucumcari where he taught Auto Mechanics. A Memorial Service will be held at Dunn Funeral home in Tucumcari on March 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend. In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that any contributions or gifts be given to Gentiva Hospice Foundation, at 3350 Riverwood Parkway, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30339.
