COFFIN, PHILIP GREGORY age 61, born on July 8, 1952 and passed away on February 14, 2014. Phil (Greg to his family) was a graduate of Valley High School and a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. His early life was spent on the California coast before he returned to his childhood roots in Albuquerque. Phil gave much time, love, and care to his ailing mother Betsy Sheets (August 15th, 2013) in her final years. Although struggling with his own lifelong illness, Phil will be remembered for his strength and courage to continue to work and fight and grow despite his challenges. He will be remembered for his kind and caring heart, his love for family and friends, and his gentle manner. Phil is survived by his brother, Christopher Sheets; his sisters, Roberta Mikus (brother-in-law Kenny), Sharla Geist, Darla Sheets, Donna Coffin and eight nieces and nephews. Rest in peace Philip Gregory - you are finally free, you are finally home. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services at 2919 4th St NW (Menaul and 4th) on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 at 1:30 pm.
