 GORDON, DONALD L. REVEREND Reverend Donald L. Gordon, age 73, went home to be with Jesus Saturday, February 8, 2014. He was born in Detroit, MI and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Donald was the Pastor of Exalting Jesus fellowship and Word of Faith Outreach Center. Pastor Gordon has been a minister in Albuquerque for 39 Years and has been with the Pentecostal Church of God for over 43 years. Pastor Gordon was a minister with a true meaning of a "Pastor Heart". He loved people and always looked to the need and not the fault of anyone he could help. Touching many lives with a heart full of love and compassion and full of God's word to encourage and uplift anyone he came in contact with. He also retired from the Albuquerque Journal February 2007. Pastor Gordon has ministered to many people and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Faith Gordon and sister Jenny Benjamin. Pastor Gordon is survived by a loving wife of 41 years, Betty Gordon; his three daughters, Cara Gordon of Lodi, CA, Tonya Gonzales and Kristal Garcia of Albuquerque; grandson Christian Gordon; granddaughters, Haley Coon and Savanna Garcia. Also surviving are niece Laura and Scott Anderson of Dixon CA; nephew Joey Risner of Oregon; cousin Cathy and Tom Boone, and David Abood of California; step-mother, Patty Gordon; step-brother, James Parker of California; mother-in-law, Edith Rylant of Albuquerque; brother-in-laws, Pete Conklin and wife Susan of Rio Rancho, Charles Stone and wife Cathy Stone and Sonny Rylant of Albuquerque; several nieces, nephews, and loyal dog "Harley". A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Legacy Church East, 4701 Wyoming Blvd NE with Tony Yotter and Rob McIntyre Officiating.
