GRIEGO, BERTHA S. was suddenly taken to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 30, 2014. Bertha will be remembered as a generous lady who never hesitated to help anyone who would ask. She was an extremely devout woman who dedicated her life to God and her family. Bertha was a very active member of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church and the surrounding Catholic Community. As well, she was a devoted member of the St. Therese Choir, the City Choir and The Legion of Mary. Bertha was preceded in death by her children, Louise Lovato, Larry Martinez and Gerard Griego. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Griego; her daughters, Loretta Thomason and Roseannette Bentz; her son, Michael Griego and his wife Rosalyn; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; as well as many other treasured family members and friends who loved and will sorely miss her. Services will be held at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred NW. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 9:00 am. Burial will then take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NW. Pallbearers will be Michael, Roseannette, Loretta, Daniel, Rob and Adrian. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW. ABQ. 505-343-8008.
