LOPEZ, ANTONIO D. "TONY" Age 81, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, January 16, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Louise Jiron Lopez; his sisters; Alice Maestas and husband, Lolo, Jackie Varrato and husband, David, Connie Maestas; his brothers, Abedon Lopez Jr. and wife, Lorraine and Michael Lopez and many other family and friends. Mr. Lopez was preceded in death by his parents, Abedon and Manuelita Q. Lopez and his wife's parents, Pedro and Benigna Jiron; his sister, Pita Montoya; nephews, Leonard Montoya, Andrew Mark Romero and Robert Lopez. He was also preceded in death by his niece, Deanna Marie Ferrez. Tony served our country in the United States Army and the New Mexico National Guard before retiring after 36 years. Tony was a member of Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 23, 2014, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH Lomas. Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 24, 2014, 9:15 a.m. at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Rd NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
