BARASCH, GUY E. DR., PH.D. Dr. Guy E. Barasch, Ph.D. passed away on January 13, 2014 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on August 28, 1937 to Charles and Esther Barasch of Baltimore, Maryland. Guy received his B.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. He was predeceased by his first wife Dianna R. Barasch. He is survived by his wife, Diana Viviani Barasch and his three children, Joshua M. Barasch of Albuquerque, Suzanne B. Judy and husband, Nick of West Lafayette, Indiana, and Stephanie B. Jester and husband, Robert of Raleigh, North Carolina, and their children Alison and Caroline. Guy dedicated his professional life to his conviction that a strong national defense is the best means of preserving peace by conducting scientific research at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and for various defense organizations in the Washington, D.C. area. He retired in 2002 after 40 years of distinguished service. Guy will be remembered by his family and friends as a man of great intellect, integrity and humor. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be scheduled.
