 SALAS, MICHAEL CHARLES Michael C. Salas, 51, born on May 3, 1962 in Gallup, NM and who died unexpectedly in the sanctuary of his home in Albuquerque, NM on January 13, 2014, surrounded by the loving faces of his family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Annie A. Naranjo and paternal grandmother, Helen T. Cato. "Miguel Carlos", is survived by his devoted family, parents Larry and Mary Cato; sister Rae Ann Salas-Baker (Randy); sister Lisa Oakerson (Robb); brother Patrick Salas (Barbara); and his beloved nephew Sebastian Salas. Michael was a compassionate, hard-working, and constant aid to his family, especially his mother and sisters. "Mikey Leo" was a devoted son, brother, and friend as a Nursing Assistant, Pharmacy Tech, and most recently a Caregiver/Medication Technician for Home Care Assistance taking care of Alzheimers/ Dementia patients. Because of his willingness to render aid whenever he was called, God called him to heaven much too soon to increase his servant duties. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 10:30am followed by a Mass at St Jude Thaddeus Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW. A Rite of Christian Innichement will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. A reception location will be announced at the Mass.
