BOWERMAN, LOUIS, A. "LOU" LT. COL. USAF (RET'D) Age 89, a resident of Albuquerque, died at home with his family,Thursday, January 9, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha "Liz" Bowerman; his daughters, Caryl F. Bowerman Parks and husband Jeff of Albuquerque, Kathy L. Meimetis and husband Michael of Lake Elsinore, CA; and his grandchildren, Steffan, Tjaden, Micah, Josh, Lawrence and Alyssa, and his niece Lori Stampley. Lou was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond E. and Miriam Bowerman. He served our country as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard during WW II, Korea and Vietnam before retiring. He was a one of a kind pilot and instructor who "flew" by the seat of his pants. Lou's love for his family included his many dogs. His celebration of life will be Monday, January 20, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
