DZAMKA, EMERY MICHAEL Emery Michael Dzamka, age 84, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed from this life on January 2, 2014, at home. He was born in Czechoslovakia on March 29, 1929 and moved to Cleveland, Ohio, with his parents in 1930. He went to John Marshall High School, graduated from Kent State University, and joined the Air Force. On honorable discharge from service, he attended Highland University to complete his Master's degree. He taught high school in Truth or Consequences before moving back to Cleveland in 1958. He taught school in North Royalton, Ohio. Emery returned to New Mexico in 1973 and settled in Albuquerque. He is remembered for his love and knowledge of music, his endless sense of humor, and his deep devotion to family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly Webber Dzamka; his daughters Laura Dzamka Lee and Jeri-Ann Dolch; and grandchildren Matthew, Johanna, and Alec. An interment service will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery on at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 16, 2014. Arrangements are being handled by the Neptune Society (505-884-4057). Memorials to honor Emery may be made to Faith in Christ Lutheran Church (505-292-5673).
