MANOS, EVANGELINE 1924 - 2013 Evangeline Manos, age 89, a resident of Bosque Farms, NM, passed away on Thursday, December 12. She was born on November 17, 1924, in Tarpon Springs, Fl, to Norean Holland Manos and Costas Manos. Evangeline never met a stranger and she lived life to the fullest. She was always the life of the party, a true legend. She attended school in Tarpon Springs, FL, where she was a drum majorette. She remained active in acrobats and playing tennis, and she was an amazing cook. Evangeline was preceded in death by her parents Costas and Norean Holland Manos; her brothers Mitchell, George, Frank and Elmer Manos. She is survived by a son, George "Cham" Hill of Roswell, NM; daughters, Susan N. Hill of Albuquerque, NM, and Kimberly Hill Dixon and husband, Jim of Bosque Farms; grandchildren, Chance Hill, Spensor Hill, Lessie Litzenberg and Christina Barela and husband, Aaron; great-grandchildren, Ryan & Trey Barela; and a brother, Chris Manos. All services will be held at Vinson Funeral Home in Tarpon Springs, FL, beginning with a viewing on Wednesday, December 18, at 6:00 pm, Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 19 at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Cycadia Cemetery in Tarpon Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution place NE, Suite 400, Albuquerque, NM 87110; or Humane Society, 615 Virginia St., Albuquerque, NM 87108.
