SILVA, JOSE ALFREDO 1944 - 2013 Jose A. Silva, a Belen resident, died on December 3rd from medical complications at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Aragon; brother, Julio Silva; and nephew, Daniel Mendoza. Jose is survived by his children, Marti Silva and her husband, Cory Lopez; Jose A. Silva Jr.; Anita Garcia and her husband, Adolfo Garcia, all from Belen; and son, Leroy Chavez, of Socorro; sisters, Mary Mendoza and Loretta Toliver; brother, Louie Aragon and his wife, Francis; grandchildren, Jacqueline Silva, Brandon Montiel, Esteban Contreras, Francisco Contreras and Josephina Estrella Silva; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial Rosary will be held at 6:00pm, Saturday, December 28th at Romero Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
