BERGET, DOROTHY MAE Dorothy Mae Berget, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013 at the age of 91. Dorothy was born in Chicago, IL and was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; her daughter, Jeanne; her son, Ronald; and her granddaughter, Kirsten. Dorothy is survived by seven children; 14 grandchildren; and ten great- grandchildren. Dorothy served in the in the Women's Army Corp during World War II, and worked for Montgomery Ward in Winrock from its opening in 1961 until she retired in 1985. Dorothy was a member of the American Business Women Association and for 25 years volunteered at Presbyterian Hospital earning over 21,000 hours of service assisting in the gift shop and most notably, knitting handmade baby caps for newborns. She will be missed dearly by the many who loved her. Memorial Services for Dorothy will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Road NE, Albuquerque with Pastor Don Wilson officiating. A reception will follow at the church and interment will take place in the afternoon at Sunset Memorial Park.
