Obituary for GONZALES

GONZALES, HAROLD Age 73, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 surrounded by family, after a long illness. Harold is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jimmie; daughter, Amanda Skarsgard and husband, Erik of Las Cruces, NM; son, Christopher Gonzales; grandchildren, Shelby and Austin Skarsgard; sisters, Mabel Hendrickson and husband, Ray and Angie Soto and husband, Sam; brother, Felix Gonzales; and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jovan and Sylvia Gonzales; brothers, Al and L.J. Gonzales; and sisters-in-law, Gloria Gonzales and Juin Baum. Harold served with the Air National Guard in Korea during the Vietnam War and retired from the United States Postal Service in 1996. He then continued to sell real estate. Harold loved golf, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a truly devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather ("Papa G"). The family wishes to thank the superb nursing and tech staff at UNMH. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, December 4, 2013, 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 5, 2013, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, 2621 Vermont NE.
