CHAVEZ, MELQUIADES "MEL" Age 58, beloved father, son, brother and uncle, was embraced by the Lord, Tuesday, November 5, 2013, while surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, NM. Mel enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and was an avid Broncos fan. Mel is survived by his precious children, Augustine Silva, Erica and Eric Sierra; his loving mother, Carmen M. Chavez; his siblings, Maria Moreno, Ralph Chavez, Barbara Saavedra, Cecilia Padilla, Johnny Chavez and James Baca; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Mel will be greatly missed by all. A rosary will be recited this evening, Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 12:00 p.m. also at the Church.
