VALENCIA, ANNA age 59, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, born July 26, 1954, passed away on October 28, 2013. Anna is survived by her sisters, Gloria Lovato and Rosie Gutierrez; nephews, John Torres and Lawrence Lovato; nieces, Rubi Lovato, Valery Lovato and Mary Lovato; godsons, Antonio Maestas and Diego Lopez; goddaughters, Priscilla Torres and Valery Lovato; and many "primos" who loved her dearly. Anna was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Valencia; brother, James Valencia and sister, Beatrice. "Auntie Anna", as so many people knew her was a proud graduate of Albuquerque High School, Class of 1973. Although, she never had any children of her own, she played a big part in raising generations of children, all of whom loved her like a mother. She loved to live life to its fullest, whether it was attending an oldies concert with her sisters or attending family functions, if there was a good time to be had, you would definitely find Auntie Anna there. Anna loved her culture, traditions, and her faith, not to mention she was one of the best cooks in the family. Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2013 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd SW, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers that will be carrying Auntie Anna to her final resting place will be Gabriel Lopez, Diego Lopez, Pedro Gutierrez Sr, Pedro Gutierrez Jr, Joseph Gutierrez, James Gutierrez and Antonio Maestas.
