 EMERSON, BETTIE J. Bettie J. Emerson passed away October 21, 2013. She was predeceased in death by her parents: Luis Raymond Pennel & Flora Mary Bennette; and her sons: Terry E. Emerson and Randy L. Emerson. Bettie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ivan L. Emerson; sons: Brent A. Emerson and Lance R. Emerson; daughter: Brenda G. (David R.) Dandois; her brother: Robert "Sonny" (Glenda) Pennel; her nephew: Chris Pennel; niece: Lisa Winfield; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Bettie's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation at Salazar Mortuary (400 3rd St. SW) on Saturday, October 26 at 11:30am followed by a service at 12:00pm. There will be a potluck following the service at the Emerson home at 2201 Diego Pl SW. Bettie will be buried at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 29th at 9:45am. Bettie's pallbearers will be Ian Dandois, Ben Benavides, Jeremey Sandoval, Johnny Grice, Jay Rader, and Jason Rader.
