 CHAVEZ, PHOEBE Q. age 97, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 19, 2013. She is survived by sons, Richard G. Chavez, Peter V. Chavez, and Frank O. Chavez and wife, Marie Elena; and grandchildren, Anthony Campbell, wife Linda and family, Danielle Chavez and Karen Chavez. Phoebe was preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. Chavez and son, Anthony. Phoebe was a very active member of the Democratic Party and was a political mentor to many of our local and state politicians. She loved working the Legislature for 14 years on the Senate side. Phoebe was a woman ahead of her time in so many ways. Graveside services will be celebrated on Thursday, October 24, 2013, 11:00 am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
