 PROFFITT LARRAZOLO, MARY Our beloved Mary Ellen left this world to be reunited with her son Joseph Larrazolo and dad Ray Duran, Sr. on August 19, 2013. She is survived by her husband Roy Proffitt; son Jacob Larrazolo; mother Josephine Mackessy; brothers Ray Duran and wife Renee and David Duran; granddaughter Lillie Larrazolo; uncles Louie Castillo, Alfred Castillo, Robert Castillo, Eloy Duran and Joe Duran; aunts Margaret Moyer and Martha Aguirre and grandmother Rose Macenez. Mary was a nurse by profession and she loved her job and was a devoted nurse to her patients. She volunteered to go to Louisiana after Katrina hit to help those in need and hardly slept for four days because the medical staff were so busy. A stranger cooked dirty rice on a propane stove and was the only hot meal they had while there. The family wishes to thank University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center for the compassion in Mary's care. Nurse Nancy in ICU and the medical staff on the fourth floor west. Thank you Justin, Cheryl and everyone else who took care of Mary. May God hold you in his care as you perform your duties and attend to your patients. It is easy to see why UNMH is the best in the state. Our precious Mary, we will miss you all the days of our lives but rejoice knowing that you can finally rest with your beloved Joseph and dad in heaven. We promise to take care of your other son Jacob till we are all reunited in heaven with our holy father. Pray for us because we will need it our loss has been unbearable. May God in his mercy watch and guide this family to deal with your loss. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at San Clemente Catholic Church 244 Luna Ave Los Lunas, NM at 7:00 pm.
