Obituary for DAVIS

DAVIS, VIRGINIA MAE age 89, left this earth to continue her life in Heaven on August 8, 2013. She was surrounded by loving family. Virginia was born April 1, 1924 in Dodge City, Kansas. She moved to Albuquerque in 1930 with her father, Andrew Hundley Beirne; her mother Mae (Burgess) Beirne and her adored older brother Patrick Beirne. She graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1942. She married the love of her life Jo Oliver Davis on August 28, 1948. She was preceded in death by her ray of sunshine, son Ray (Buddy) Davis, her parents and her brother. She was a very active member of many Masonic organizations prior to her illness. She loved and lived the lessons she learned in Bible Study Fellowship and she shared her heart with all who came her way. Her Godly example lives on in many lives. She is survived by her husband of 64 years: Jo Davis; son Franklin Lee Davis and wife Judy Bracik of Edmonds, Washington; daughter Patricia Jo Grigsby and husband Clifford Keith of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; granddaughter Danika Schmidt; grandsons Colin Davis, Steven Grigsby and Michael Grigsby. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many,many honorary family members. Virginia's life will be celebrated on Thursday August 15 at 10:00 AM at Calvary of Albuquerque in the prayer chapel 4001 Osuna Rd NE. Lord, please get the party started a saint is coming home!
