Obituary for RANDALL

RANDALL, ROSE LINDA BETH ADAMS passed away on July 30, 2013, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born in Catskill, New York on March 3, 1944, the daughter of J. Robert Adams and Mary Latronica Adams. She graduated from South Kortright Central School in 1961 and received a B.S. from SUNY New Paltz in Art Education in 1965 and an MS in 1968. She taught elementary art in Mahopac, NY and Newburgh, NY. She met and married Darrel Randall in 1969 and moved to Albuquerque in 1970 where she eventually completed additional post graduate work at the University of New Mexico and taught in the Albuquerque Public Schools for 19 years, at Navajo Elementary, Armijo Elementary, and Ernie Pyle Middle School. Rose Linda was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Darrel, of Albuquerque; and her beloved daughter, Evangeline Rose. She is also survived by her brothers, John R. Adams and wife Betty of South Kortright, NY, and James E. Adams and wife Rose of Stamford, NY; her nieces, Beth Adams, Julia Adams, and Lyndsey Adams; nephew, Scott Adams; and great-nieces, Laura Adams-Durgin, Rachel Adams and Krista Northrop; great-great-niece, June; and great-great-nephews, Jeb and Gabe; as well as many, many cousins. Rose had a lifelong love of horses and dogs and owned and cared for them throughout most of her life. During the 1970s, Rose was an active member of the NM Dairy Goat Association and served as it's president for several years. She also raised goats for competition and pleasure. She also enjoyed gourd crafts, dabbled in photography and soapmaking and helped in gardening and selling at local growers markets in Albuquerque's South Valley. Special thanks to the nurses and therapists at Lovelace Medical Center and Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital, Dr. Amy Tarnower, Dr. Andrew Metzger and Jeffrey Haughton, Dr. Peter Koenigsberg and Dr. Annie Glavey. Sincerest recognition and deepest appreciation for the team, namely DeeDee Wood, Joanna Jojola, and Lynne Hinton, at Heartland Hospice. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Neptune Society of Albuquerque. No memorial arrangements are planned at this time.
