KASSICIEH, KHALIL S. Age 90, a resident of Albuquerque, passed on Thursday, August 1, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Raoufeh Kassicieh; his sons, Suleiman Kassicieh and Samir Kassicieh; his daughter, May K. Kassicieh; and seven grandchildren. Trisagion will be held Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with visitation continuing until 9:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St. SE, Albuquerque, 87102. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Mr. Kassicieh was born in Jerusalem, Palestine in 1923. He joined the Palestinian National Guard in 1936. He was an avid swimmer and represented the Palestinian National Team in the Regional Competition in Cairo in 1947. He loved to play backgammon. He retired from the Royal Jordanian Airlines in 1987 and moved to Albuquerque. Memorial contributions may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
