THOMPSON, DONALD J., JR. Age 52, born in Chelsea, MA on November 1, 1960, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 4, 2013. Donald was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. Thompson, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; son, Keith; daughter-in-law, Brandy; grandson, Brandyn; mother, Juanita; brother, Randy; six sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; thirty-three nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews. Donald was a retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant. He served his country for twenty-three years and is a veteran of Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield. Donald was the recipient of several awards including the Meritorious Service Medal (Second Oak Leaf Cluster). Donald is dearly loved by his wife and family, and especially by his grandson, Brandyn. Those who worked with Donald knew him as knowledgeable professional who was always friendly and helpful to others. He was a wise and humble leader with a reputation for integrity, expertise, and a positive attitude. Donald is a man of strong faith in God and God's Word. Donald: "Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you." Isaiah 60:1. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 12, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Westside. Interment will follow at San Jose Armijo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Donald would have preferred donations to either the Heart or Diabetes Foundation.
