 ASHCROFT, REX OLEY was born on May 13, 1938 to James Wilford Ashcroft and Bertha Josie James in Ramah, N.M. and passed away on July 4, 2013 at the age of 75. Rex was a professional welder and a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was preceded in death by his son, Shannon Ashcroft and step-son, Edward Whisenhunt. Rex is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Viola Ashcroft; sons, Rex and John; daughter, Terri Ashcroft; step-sons, Roger and John Whisenhunt; step-daughters, Glorianna, Georgia and Minnie; sister, Ira and brother, Earl. Services will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1900 Edith Blvd. N.E. on Monday, July 8, 2013. A Viewing will begin at 11:00am. A Service will take place at 12:00pm. Burial to follow.
