JONES, STENSON R. (STAN) Dad passed to his reward on May 23, 2013. He was an exceptional son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and soldier. He was among the last of our WWII infantry soldiers who fought in multiple major campaigns. He was with the first to land and fight in North Africa. He was in the first landing in Italy and fought on the lines there. Then he went into the "monster of all battles" being in the first landing waves on Normandy Beach in France. He survived to return home to his beloved Texas, married and had a family, and finished a career in the military. God blessed him, and in return he was a blessing and an example to many.
