Garcia, Christopher Paul Age 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, was born October 11, 1930 in Los Angeles, CA. He went to be with The Lord on Sunday April 28, 2013 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Josephine (Pudgy) Garcia; two sons, Chris of Albuquerque, Jimmy of San Marcos, CA; two daughters, Kathy Tafoya and husband Larry of Albuquerque, Vanessa Szynskie and husband Tom of Papillion, NE. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Ruby Padilla and husband Aris, Ray Armijo and wife Nora of Albuquerque, Dolores Boughner and husband John of Aurora, CO; sisters-in-law Hilda Armijo of San Diego, CA, Joan Campbell of Albuquerque; brothers-in-law, Ted Fisher of San Francisco, CA and Don Dulin of Ward, AR; grandchildren, Tim, John and Shawn Dulin, Cathy Fassett, Christopher and Adam Garcia, Micah and James Garcia, Aubrey and Aaron Tafoya, Nicole McLeay, Michael, Jesse and Crystal Zamora and Faith Szynskie; four great- grandchildren and was eagerly anticipating the birth of three additional great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Chris served in the United States Navy from Jan 1951 through Jan 1955 as an Enginemen 3 and served in the Korean War, earning a Korean Service Medial, United Nations Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. After a long and satisfying career with Public Service Company of New Mexico, he retired with 32 years of service. A Life Celebration Service will by Wednesday, May 1 at 1:00 p.m. at New Covenent Church, 7201 Paseo Del Norte NE.
