ACOSTA, PETE G. JR. Age 83, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, was embraced by the Lord and taken to his heavenly home, Friday, April 26, 2013. He was a resident of Albuquerque. Pete enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, ride his bike, taking walks and was very fond of his horses. Pete will be fondly remembered as a kind man and willing to help everyone he could. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Eulalia Acosta; three sisters; and one brother. Pete is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Annie Acosta; his children, Richard Acosta and wife Beverly, Martin Acosta and wife Lucille, Walter Martinez and wife Arlene, Clarence Martinez and wife Katherine, JoAnn Rodriguez and husband Dale, Mary Gutierrez and husband Paul; 14 grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; his brother, Rudy Acosta; and other numerous relatives and friends. Pete will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, on 4th Street and Mildred. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Perez, John Paul Gutierrez, Shawn Martinez, Tom Droelle, Tommy Dominguez and Dennis Lucero. Honorary bearers will be Eric Padilla, Jason Martinez and Paul Dominguez.
