SHELTON, BILLIE GOODRUM Age 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 26, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, O.E. "Gene" Shelton; children, Denise and Jerry Honeycutt, David and Lucinda Shelton, and Dary and Lori Shelton; grandchildren, Amy and Nathan Alexander, Lisa and Randy Allen, Deona and Colin Foust, Melissa and Matt Kamplain, Courtney and Roy Yates, Miranda and Jeremy Zwolensky, Ashley and Marcus Mathis, and Brittany and Andrew Augsburger; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Paul, Shelton, Liam, Rowen, Sadie Jo, Taylin, Shylie, Jaidyn, Avri, Xander, Grant, Lincoln, Brooklyn, Eden, and Abel, and sisters, Dorothy Smith and Normalyn Hurford. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eugenia Goodrum; and her sister, Nancy Nell Shadle. Billie was a member of Riverside Church of Christ. She devoted her whole life to the service of young people through: Christian Student Center, Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, Ponderosa Christian Camp. Billie will be remembered as the "Taco Hut Lady" because she worked and managed the Taco Hut during the New Mexico State Fair. She became famous for her strawberry rhubarb pie which became a favorite fundraiser for the Albuquerque Children's Home. Friends may visit FRENCH- Westside on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at Riverside Church of Christ, 3100 La Orilla Rd NW. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
