CHVEZ, VENTURA Age 86, was born back to the land on March 11, 2013 at home in Albuquerque surrounded by his family. Born in Cuervo, NM, Ventura led a long and wondrous life as a cowboy, WWII veteran, aircraft painter, retired senior tech at Honeywell, and participant in the Tierra Amarilla courthouse raid of 1967. He is survived by his wife, Cruzita; his five children, Gail, Charlotte, Deborah, Henry, and Adrian; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life and enduring spirit on Thursday, March 21, at 6pm at the Aquinas Newman Center on UNM campus, 1815 Las Lomas Rd NE Albuquerque, NM 87106.
