LOW, JOHN LEWIS SR., REV. passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the age of 89, with his family at his bedside in his Albuquerque home . He was born on June 10, 1923 to James Daniel Low and Lottie Violet Hoover in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Preceding him in death are his parents and sister Pearl Thornton. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Low; children, John L. Low Jr., Clyde Low, David Low, Sharon Dunn, and James Low; many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. John Low graduated Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. Wherein John committed to a close relationship with Jesus Christ and answered the call to service when he became the pastor in the Church of Nazarene in Ryot, PA. John built and remodeled numerous churches for the Church of Nazarene. He had exemplary skills as a master carpenter. John also worked for Mossman and Gladden home builders in Albuquerque, NM for well over 20 years. John Low was a racing enthusiast and used to run the dirt track at Speedway Park when it was on South Eubank in Albuquerque, NM. He also loved to fish, and was amazing at wood working. John took great pride in his family and gave unconditional Love to all. He himself was loved and respected by many. He will be greatly missed.
