Obituary for GOAD

GOAD, CHARLES M. was born on May 6, 1926 and passed away on Thursday morning, March 7, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jessie Goad; younger sister, Gloria; first wife, Laura Lowson (1921-1985); second wife, Cathryn Watson (1926-2010). Charles is survived by his sister, Shirley Goad Derewitz; nieces, Cynthia Lane and husband Bill; nephews, James Derewitz and wife, Lori, Joseph Derewitz and wife, Janet and John Derewitz; Laura's first cousins, Judy Frye and husband, Kermit, Ed Gray and wife, Jean, and Jill Page and husband, Brad, they always considered Charlie family, they also mourn his passing. His loyal friend, Barbara Weinstein, along with an extended family of close friends saddened by his loss. Charlie's zest for life was contagious, he never lost his child like spirit of adventure or his search for the next treasure, which he knew was just around the corner. He was a man of great energy, diverse interests, multiple talents and many accomplishments. A special thanks to Dorothy Jeffries and Susie Toledo who were such wonderful caregivers and friends. Also Brian Jeffries, Alfredo Pena, Michael Perrucci, who all helped Charlie and Cathy throughout the years. We would like to thank both Hospice of New Mexico and Anna Kaseman Hospice for providing loving support during Charlie's final weeks. Charlie's lifelong love of animals, sustained him throughout his life. He was closely guarded by two special cats, Dottie and Jack, until the end. if you wish to remember Charlie's life, a donation to your favorite animal welfare organization would be appreciated.
