Obituary for MARTIN

MARTIN, JOHN EMERY 91, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2013, in Edgewood, NM. John was born in Dresden, NY, on June 24, 1921. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1948. During World War II, he served aboard the U.S.S. Fitch. Afterwards, he moved to Albuquerque, NM, where he met his wife, Mildred Martin. He earned a degree from the University of New Mexico and worked as a teacher with Albuquerque Public Schools for 25 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; parents, John and Anna Martin; and sisters, Annabelle Martin, Nellie Fiock, and Thelma O'Neil. He is survived by his children, Mark Martin and Karen Bullard; grandchildren, Sarah Bullard, Donna Bullard, and John Bullard; and his great grandson, Carson Bullard. John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 8th at 3:00 p.m. at Beehive Home, 102 Quail Trail in Edgewood, NM.
