LUJAN, IDA CHRISTELLA "CHRISTIE" 1947-2013 Ida Christella "Christie" Lujan, 66, was living in Los Lunas, New Mexico at the time of her death after a lengthy illness. Christie was born on January 7, 1947 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to the late Onofre and Cleotilde "Tillie" Lucero. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Thomas Lujan; her son, Tom Jr. and his wife, Gigi; grandchildren, Regina and Sebastien, Marcus, Danielle and Thomas III and a great-grandson, Estevan. Her sisters who will miss her are Grace Griffin, Lindy and husband, Pete Broberg, Carmen Romero and Frances Lucero and Joe Grine Jr.; her sisters-in-law, Helen and husband, Sal War, Mary Moreno, Yolie Ortiz and Happy Lucero; brothers-in-law, Sonny and wife, Christine Lujan, Gillie and wife, Maria Lujan; mother-in-law, Elvira Lujan and father-in-law, the late Juan J. Lujan. She will be remembered lovingly by many nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Priscilla Smith. Christie has 9 God-children, Maria Guynes, Arianne Silva, Jennifer Grine, Francine Jacquez, Barbara Rivera, Danielle Lujan, Chris Lucero, Jeanette Arellano and Tara Smith. She was preceded in death by daughter, Janice; her maternal parents and her father-in-law; brother, Jose A. Lucero; brother-in-law, Margarito "Orlando" Romero; sister, Celine Sanchez and sister-in-law, Juanita Salazar. Christie was employed as a Design Engineer for Mountain Bell/Qwest-Denver, Colorado where she retired in 2001. Upon her retirement, Tom and Christie relocated to Los Lunas, New Mexico where they were active in charitable organizations. Services will be held at the San Clemente Catholic Church on Monday, February 4, 2013, beginning with a visitation at 8:30 AM, followed by a rosary at 9:00 AM and the funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. The family has requested that contributions be made to Vista Care Hospice, 5600 Wyoming Blvd, NE, Suite 10, Albuquerque, NM 87109 in lieu of flowers. Thank you to all family and friends who supported the Lujan family during this great loss of a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother and friend.
