OTERO, LOUISA 1915-2013 Age 97, a resident of Albuquerque Heights Nursing Home and formerly a resident of Peralta, NM passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta. She was always religious, going to church and praying the rosary. The happiest time of her life was praying. Louisa enjoyed bingo, dancing and doing the wedding march for many ceremonies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rumaldo Sr.; sons, Raymond, Lesman, and Rumaldo Jr. (Rudy); sisters, Antonia, Maria and Ofelia; son-in-law, Johnnie Perea Sr.; grandsons, Lesmen Sanchez and Michael Perea; and great-grandson, Lesmen Sanchez Jr. Louisa is survived by her daughters, Mela Perea of Los Lunas and Lucy LaPorte and husband, Richer of CA; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Otero; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; and one great-great-great grandchild. All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, beginning with a viewing on Friday, January 25, at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Final Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 26, at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Valencia Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tranquilino, Berto, Ruben, Jose and Leonard Perea, Randy Otero, Raymond Sanchez and Tony Rios. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pat A. Jojola and Johnny Diaz.
