CONDIT, EDWARD E. Passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. He was born July 27, 1927 to Watson Ellsworth Condit and Esther L. (Shields) Condit at his Grandfather William Wylie Condit's farm house in the small farming community of Hill, NM in Dona Ana County. He was one of ten children. Mr. Condit is survived by his children, Mark Edward Condit, Gary Dean Condit, and Mrs. Brenda Mae Condit O'Connor; grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Condit, Edward Aaron Condit, Grant Edward Condit, Neil Gary Ray Condit, Tina Dodd, and Tanya Dodd; great-grandson, Landen Condit; and siblings, Mrs. Iona May Ritchie of Farmington, NM, Mrs. Maurine Berdina Miller of Farmington, NM, Leroy Lee Condit of Spanish Fork, UT, Mrs. Peggy Lou Eggen of Colorado Springs, CO, Mrs. Esther Gail Toulouse of Des Moines, IA, and Weldon Wylie Condit of Omaha, NB. Edward was married to Helen Elizabeth Davis Cooper on October 15, 1948 in Norfolk, VA until her death in 2011. He enlisted with the U.S. Navy in 1945 and served until 1953 being honorably discharged as Engineman First Class. He honorably served on the USS Williamsburg which was President Truman's yacht. He also served on the USS Pocono and joined Admiral W.H.P. Blandy's company who was the commander at the time of the Atlantic fleet. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; his brothers, Clifford Carl Condit and Raymond Russell Condit; and sister, Florence Evelyn Allen. Mr. Condit was the founder and owner of Market Refrigeration, and was a commercial refrigeration contractor in New Mexico from 1959-2002. Services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH Wyoming.
