 JOHNSON, JOHN NOBLE Age 97, passed away at his home in Plano, TX on Saturday, December 15, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. We celebrate the wonderful and long life of our father who gave all of us a life filled with love, laughter and fun. Noble was born in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of Swedish immigrants. He was a World War II veteran who graduated from the University of Minnesota. It was in Duluth that he met and married our beautiful mother, Thea Jane Brown. In 1951, they left their home in Duluth and moved to Albuquerque, NM where he began a career with Sandia National Laboratories. After he was diagnosed with colon cancer in 1972, and given less than six months to live, he decided to fulfill his dream of owning his own real estate company, Noble Johnson Realty. He loved his second career and was very successful due to his passion for the business, his many business contacts, and hard work. Noble loved and enjoyed his family, his work, his multiple projects around the house, and "the land" in Tome, NM and Ouray, Colorado, his two favorite places outside of Albuquerque. He was a devoted husband and father who told us every day, until he could no longer speak, how much he loved us. He and mom were married for 67 years at the time of her death, and together were a shining example of what true love can be. Death parted them and now death reunites them. Noble is survived by his devoted children Tom Johnson; Rob Johnson and partner Walter Cole; Kristin (Johnson) Hanger, husband Howard and their son Ryan; and Karin Johnson. The family sends a special "Thank You" to Noble's two care-givers Mary Morales and Debby Ackley who cared for him for over six years as the effects of a stroke and dementia took their toll on his health. We will forever be grateful for their loving care and being so much a part of our family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Noble's name to ARCA (supporting children with developmental disabilities), the Alzheimer's Association or Salvation Army. Services have already occurred.
