 SHEPHERD, GERALD 1944-2013 age 69, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013. He was a member of the Message of God Church. He grew up in Milwaukee, WI, and as a young man he joined the US Navy, and was medically discharged. He was a very caring and outgoing person. Everyone who crossed paths with him often told him that God broke the mold when He made him. "Gerry" loved the Lord and spoke of Jesus and heaven often. He really tried to walk in Christ's footsteps. Second from the Lord, he loved his wife, Mary, his seven children, brothers and sisters he grew up with and his family in the Lord. Services will be held at the Message of God Church in Albuquerque, 6072 Appleton Rd., on Wednesday, January 23, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a viewing; the funeral will be at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Travis Wilkinson (Tee), Lynn Jackson, Gary Dinkel, Renier Oquendo, and Elice Wilkinson (Slim).
