She and Russ loved to travel, especially when they could cruise. Alta was generous and happiest when entertaining family and friends who visited from all over the country and even the world. In 1992, she wrote her wishes for when this time came, "Don't cry for me. I've lived more and richer than most people. I've enjoyed more pleasure than one person deserves, and I've been blessed with the most wonderful family anyone could ever have." At the age of 88, Alta's was a life well-lived, and she was tremendously loved. She will be missed beyond measure. A celebration of Alta's life will be held on Tuesday, January 29 at 1:00 PM at Calvary of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Road NE with Skip Heitzig officiating. Alta's cremains will rest beside Russ's at Sunset Memorial Park.
